What Makes Up The Stages Of A New Construction?

New construction projects are often very unique and can be complicated by a few hiccups here and there. 

But no matter how unique a construction is, there are some mandatory steps that are always involved in each construction.

If you’re looking to build a house, these stages will help you get the bigger picture and understand the whole evolution process from start to finish.

1. Land development

Finding the perfect land for your new construction is very important. It is advisable to seek the advice of an architect to help you verify the plot you have in mind based on the soil conditions and the building codes and permits that apply to that specific plot of land.

2. The design processes

In this stage, you as the project owner should be able to establish a budget and create a list of features and functions you intend your building to have. Having an idea of what you want before presenting it to an architect eliminates unnecessary design revisions.

The architect will then work on conceptual designs based on your needs. As the architectural drawings take shape, a civil structural engineer will be engaged to help build the structure to fit the architectural design.

The mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineers, as well as professional property surveyors, will also be engaged and this team will work together to finalize the design process.

3. The pre-construction stages

This stage involves the acquisition and approval of various permits, expediting & tracking. The project teams will be assembled to begin the site preparation.

  • And the health and safety personnel

4. The construction stages

The construction then begins, and it may include the excavation process, tree removal, and landscaping, building process.

The design team will also carry out inspections to ensure the construction conforms with the approved plans.

Lastly, finalization of the new construction and you can take residence in your new place.
